I qualified from the Middlesex Hospital in July 1987, and have worked more or less continuously since then.

I have had the opportunity to work in the UK, Australia and Ireland over the course of my career, and had a good grounding in a variety of specialties.  In 1994 I started working in Private Practice where I gained valuable experience in Sports Injury Rehabilitation - we looked after the County Hurling, Gaelic Football, rugby and hockey teams, along with a variety of other "weekend warrior" injuries.  

We moved to Cambridge in 1996, and I have worked in Private Practice since being here.  I have good experience with the treatment of a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries and ailments, from sore toes, to major spinal surgery and from the "weekend warrior" to national level athletes, with varying degrees of injury and different sports.  I have a good working relationship with most of the referring consultants, so I can contact them if there is ever a query in the care of a patient.

I am actively involved in "sport" myself, I cycle regularly, and train to participate in the Norfolk Superhero annual event which does require a good level of fitness and injury prevention.  I therefore understand completely the need to keep active, and help people to find ways of maintaining fitness whilst they are recovering from injury.

I have lectured in the use of kinesiotherapy taping, I have found that it does have a place in rehabiliation alongside other modalities

I have a special interest in biomechanics and have particular expertise in the treatment and management of foot disorders, and I am trained in measurement for prescription orthotics.
